July 15, 2012 10 am to 5 pm at Sacred Mountain Lavender
Join us for a fun filled sensory experience to remember. Allow the aromatic scent of lavender to waft over you as you explore all the different ways in which lavender can enhance your life. Taste lavender in the wonderful foods and drinks available, touch lavender at the craft table, see the carpet of purples and listen to the symphony of bees who love lavender.
Peruse the numerous stands of local artisans, events and lavender-related demonstrations.

Below is the line-up and schedule from 2011:
*Lunches by Bruce's Kitchen. 'Cooking with Lavender' presentations at 12.30pm and 3.30pm
*The Lavender Bistro offering lavender gelato, lemonade, baking and coffee
*Talks by author of "Backyard Bounty," and expert on all things gardening Salt Spring's own, Linda Gilkeson PhD 11.30am & 3pm on the lawn
*Gypsy music with violinist Marjorie Cullerne and guitarist Peter Leclerc 10.30am to noon in top field area and, 1pm to 2.30pm on the lawn
*Tango demonstration and guest participation with Gail Sibley and Gordon 'Cam' White, Noon and 4pm on the lawn
*Essential Oil distillation demonstration continuous from 1pm-3pm top barn
* Lavender propagation demonstrations 10.30am, noon, 2.30pm and 4.30pm
*Massage in the lavender field with Sona and Shiatsu with Seamus
*Spiritual readings with Joanne Stuart or Jane Barter in the top field
*The Orchard will again showcase local vendors and lavender wand making
*See 45 varieties of lavenders in our demonstration beds and
*Visit our farm shop filled with all things lavender
* Experience intriguing “Lavender Man”* Children, explore the “Magical Purple Clothing Trunk”Entry fee Adults $5.00 (includes entry for door prize & HST!) - CHILDREN 12 and under FREE
Sacred Mountain Lavender is located at 401 Musgrave Road near Fulford Harbour. For directions, go to the Salt Spring Island Studio Tour website and download a map. We are location number 2 marked with the sign of the sheep and a number 2, or simply follow the signs to Sacred Mountain Lavender.
